Im confused. In PA its apparently illegal to use semi auto pistols on squirrels. So no 10/22 charger, no mark 4, no pistols except revolvers or single shot. But semi auto rifles are ok? How is a 10/22 legal but not legal in the pistol version?

Great shots of Blue Marsh Game Lands. Growing up hunting doves we would see clouds of doves going past, the same as an Argentina dove hunt. Millions , compared to the current population. What has changed the combine drops very little grain on the ground 95% efficient. Clean farming and AG chemicals, no hedgerows for birds to roost and nest, doves mostly roost in pines, on the local farm. The second season does not help keeping numbers up, it actually reduces them. Wouldn't it be better to only have one season and see double or triple the amount of birds in the air ? The sun flowers planted are pollenless, not helping the pollinators at all. The old timers never used Roundup either .Still not great for the environment , another factor in declining birdlife. Roundup kills down to a microbial level, dig in the dirt see if you can find any earth worms. Want more birds in the sky GO GREEN eliminate the late season, make dove hunting fun again you will get more hunters. The Passenger pigeon once numbered in the millions they were hunted into extinction.

Our society today has way too many youngsters headed down the wrong path. Madi is a treasure and a great example for other young people to emulate, whether through archery or something else. Hats off to Madi's parents for raising a such a fine young girl the right way. I started into archery much later in life but so glad I finally found this great sport. Why make something so simple so complicated? I have perched a non resident adult hunting license for several years and never had any problems.

None of this shows up when I go on the site and click on applications.

I ordered on 6/28. It's now 7/22 and haven't received my licenses. I'd like to use a PGC shooting range, but I doubt the WCO would allow me to utilize the range with a paper receipt which shows that I purchased a license. I'm also sure there's some open seasons right now where people would want to utilize a license as well, say coyote. They said they would make this better.

It is not any better in 2024. Still waiting as of 7/22 ordered on 6/28.

I've hunted all over Warren and McKean counties. More deer in the fenced areas than outside of. And black cherry trees only regenerate in clear cut areas when they get a jump on the birch and maples.

Here is my grip PGC. I do NOT think the draw for elk tags is rigged. The fact that you open the drawing up to the entire country is a load of horse crap though. Western states do everything in their power to make things as hard as possible for out of staters. Here is PA who just lets everyone in for the same amount of money for just a handful of tags. It’s a money making scheme for the state. Do the right thing and make it for PA residents ONLY! South Dakota won’t allow out of staters to apply for Black Hills elk. Why do we? It’s a extremely finite resource. I pay taxes in this state. No way in hell a out of state hunter should get as fair a chance as me.

Why is your deer population so high? Are hunters not willing to harvest deer or has your state crippled hunters ability to harvest enough deer? Seems like a simple fix called management?
